About three million people were affected by the earthquake in Haiti this week and death toll is approximately 45,000.

This event brings back vivid memories of the 2004 Tsunami in South Asia, which claimed 230,000 lives. I had the privilege of connecting with great organizations in Indonesia that allowed me to spend about ten weeks in a city that lost over a hundred thousand lives. I worked to rebuild a clinic, assess the homes in a village and provide emergency work kits for an unreached city on the shore. I remember what I saw and still am connected with the people recovering their city. My first hand experience urges you to join in efforts to rebuild Haiti.
